Hello!

Im Scott Bracken, a photographer who’s happiest when I’m outdoors—camera in hand, capturing the world in its raw, unfiltered form. Born and raised in Washington state, I’ve always felt at home in the wilderness, whether I’m hiking through dense forests, scrambling up rocky mountainsides, or just sitting quietly, taking it all in.

Photography became my way of preserving the moments that words often fail to capture. Waterfalls that come and go with the seasons, the golden light at dusk, the subtle details of nature that most people pass by without noticing—those are the things that fascinate me. Over the years, I’ve come to realize that the most meaningful photos aren’t always the ones that are planned or posed. They’re the ones that happen when no one’s watching, in the quiet spaces between.

Beyond photography, I’ve spent the last few years as a search and rescue volunteer. It’s work that’s taught me a lot about patience, awareness, and the human spirit. There’s something about helping others find their way, often in moments of uncertainty, that resonates with me deeply. I guess that’s part of why I’m drawn to photography too—it’s a way of finding and framing meaning in the world around me.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me hiking taking photos of the landscape alone (I posted some photos below), enjoying coffee, or spending quality time with my two boys. I’m always learning, both as a photographer and as a dad, and I bring that passion for growth into everything I do.

Let’s capture something beautiful together.
